Here are some things to remember on my next visit:
* Do not go to Colombia expecting great coffee. Yes it's grown there, but apparently all of the good coffee is exported to the states..and they keep the leftovers. haha.
* The thing about safety in a car/truck/party bus is...that it doesn't exist. You just have to deal with it. Sometimes there will be 11 people in a Jeep with questionable structural integrity, 3 of which are sitting on the roof. Apparently this is normal. Seatbelts? HA. No such thing.
* Colombia is NOT scary. I did not run into any Farque or Pablo Escobar's relatives. The only times I felt unsafe was when I was in any type of motor vehicle...
* It appeared that the Colombian's have a different idea of what the point of a salad is supposed to be. Mine had a huge glob of butter on top. Hmmm.
* DO NOT SLAM the doors on cabs...the drivers do not appreciate this. Since I've been back everytime I've gotten out of my own car I've been careful not to slam it.
* Everyone appreciates if you try and speak Spanish..even if your Spanish is that of a 4th grade rAtard.
* Oh yeah, and the Colombian men just STARE at you...I wish they would just talk to me.. :)
